An Analysis Of The Character "Cosmo Brown" From The Movie "Singing in the Rain"

Donald O'Connor as Cosmo Brown

Cosmo Brown is a sidekick character from the legendary musical movie "Singing in the Rain." He is Don Lockwood's best friend. He almost like Don's Manager. Even though Don and Cosmo were not really successful when they were little, they always try to achieve their dream of working in the film industry.

He is a funny character, always makes a one-line joke, and always does a silly dance. Every time he shows up, he brings an incredible energy to the screen. In the iconic "Make 'Em Laugh" sequence, he shows acrobatic comedic talent as a performer, and he sure does have the ability to bring joy to those around him.

Here are some of the best lyrics from the "Make 'Em Laugh" performance sequence.

My dad said, "Be an actor my son,

But be a comical one!"

They'll be standing in lines

Oh, you could study Shakespeare and be quite elite,

And you could charm the critics and have nothing to eat,

Just slip on a banana peel, the world's at your feet

Make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh!

Cosmo's portrayal in "Singing in the Rain" is not only as a comedian, he is also a person who adds creative ideas throughout the story to support Don. Despite the challenges Don and Cosmo face as the film industry transitions from silent films to films with actual sound, Because "Singing in the Rain" itself was set in the late 1920s. Cosmo's creativity is a big part of why the movie they're making is successful. He's good at solving problems and coming up with new ideas. Cosmo's quick thinking helps save the day and makes the movie a hit.

In the end, Cosmo Brown is an iconic and unforgettable character who embodies both humor and heart in "Singing in the Rain." His loyalty makes him a beloved figure in the film. This makes me realize how important sidekick characters are. Sidekick characters have a unique charm that can make them more lovable than the main character.

So, what can we take from Cosmo's character? Be loyal to your best friend, be clever to solve and deal with all of your problems, be a hard-working person to achieve all of your dreams, and lastly, and most importantly, be a humorous person because everyone loves to laugh. Ha Ha..

An Analysis Of A Song "My Way" By Frank Sinatra

The song lyrics were written by Paul Anka and popularized by Frank Sinatra in 1969. "My way" tells about the feeling of relief, the celebration, and the recognition of not being perfect. This is a song about making mistakes, taking risks, and facing the consequences of decisions.  "My Way" will forever be one of my favorite songs. This song is just spectacular, especially the way Frank Sinatra delivered it in a dramatic way. The strong voice matched well with the dramatic instrument. It makes me overwhelmed by the tears. Let's take a look at these lyrics! And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain These lyrics represent someone who is sure enough with his attitude, his opinion, and his belief. He has faced the challenge of his life, and now that he's at the "end," it could mean that he is almost facing the final of his mission. I've lived a life th...

An Analysis Of A Song "Nowhere Man" By The Beatles

"Nowhere Man" is a classic folk rock song by the wickedly famous band The Beatles. This song was released in December 1965 and written by John Lennon. "Nowhere Man" is one of the Beatles's earlier works. I guess that's why this song describes the writer's youth experiences. The way they sang it just sounds amazing, Especially when they start harmonize. I feel emotional every time I hear this song. I can relate to the lyrics so much. As I mentioned earlier, this song describes someone who is young and has no idea what he's going to do with his life. Let's take a look at these lyrics!  He's a real nowhere man Sitting in his nowhere land Making all his nowhere plans for nobody These lyrics describe someone who doesn't know what he's doing with his life. So he's just sitting and making a bunch of plans for "no one," meaning that even he doesn't even believe in his plans and doesn't know what he's going to do with...
